In our last post, we talked about why Swell Rewards exists in the first place. In this one, we’ll talk about what types of topics we’re going to cover on this blog and how they can help you grow your e-commerce business.
In short, this blog is meant to be a reflection of our founding principles as a company. At our core, we believe very strongly that small business is moving online (quickly), and that those businesses in particular could benefit from harnessing their data to establish themselves and grow. We don’t shy away from concepts such as “big data” or “machine learning”, and we plan on using it to help our merchants.
To that end, most of our posts will tend to fall into one of three buckets:
1. Sharing best practices. First and foremost, our goal is to help our merchants grow. To do that, we’ll always look to help you with actionable, practical tips and tricks that you can use to boost your revenue. We’ll share some of our expertise, and we’ll pass along insights that we think will be particularly helpful as well.
2. Success stories. Selling online can be a lonely business, especially when things aren’t going as well as you might have hoped. We want to let you know that you’re not the only one out there experiencing those challenges. From time to time, we’ll share how some of our successful merchants overcame roadblocks on their way to success.
3. Leveraging data to grow. We don’t believe that data has to be intimidating. We also don’t think that big corporations, with their sophisticated marketing teams, are the only ones that can use their data to focus their marketing efforts. We want to be a data-driven organization, and if we can help you become a slightly more data-driven merchant in the process, then we’ll have done our job!
